Lobbying in the European Union

Abstract

The EU’s support and that of the West, more broadly, to Ukraine’s territorial integrity, stability and transformation has made a difference, but the results remain fragile, and the country must remain high on EU’s agenda as failure in Ukraine would have negative ramifications across the region. In this context the Ukrainian Think Tanks Liaison Office in Brussels aims to be a leading Brussels hub for debate and discussion about Ukraine. It focuses on analysis and discussion on foreign, security, economic and domestic policy developments in Ukraine with a strong emphasis on the evolving EU-Ukraine relationship. The Ukrainian Think Tanks Liaison Office facilitates cooperation between Ukrainian and EU think tanks and offers a platform for Ukrainian interest representation on the EU level.

Revised version of the working paper: “Insights from Practitioners: How to initiate and develop Relationships with Partners, Donors and Stakeholders, and improve Cooperation between Ukrainian and EU Think Tanks.” The paper was presented during the Brussels UkraineLab 2017: Fair of Research Projects in Support of Reforms in Ukraine, held in Brussels on 22 February 2017.
