This chapter reviews the overall outcomes of the MDTsInAction project. It provides a brief account of the historical background to the project and then reviews the contribution that each chapter has made to the project and to our understanding of team meeting processes. The empirical and theoretical contributions are then summarised under four main themes: how service user needs are represented in MDT meetings, engaging clinicians with different professional backgrounds in MDT meetings, how to involve service users meaningfully in research on MDT meetings and the learning points for researchers when undertaking projects which address live health and social care issues.
