Abstract
Gwen knew the moment her hotel monitor chimed that the person on the other end would be Carter Rhodes. He was a man on a mission; he was not one to let anything sit for long. She had been awake for exactly forty minutes, had just finished breakfast in her bathrobe and nothing else, and with her hair looking like a willow after a hurricane, she wasn’t about to enable her camera. Rhodes, on the other hand, looked as if he’d had a film crew arranging his wardrobe and hair for the past hour.
