Abstract
The subject of the paper is the concept of a measurement system of selected operating parameters of the overhead travelling crane bridge structure and the roadway crane girder beams for the purpose of identifying the operating conditions of the device in practice (under operation). The subject measurement system uses vibration sensors located at specific locations of the crane bridge structure and selected cross-sections of the device roadway. The obtained from measurements results will then be used in the process of monitoring the process of device operation. The paper focuses on the measurement system hardware architecture and software (called application). The essence of the measurement system is the possibility of wireless transmission of results obtained from measurements for the purposes of their analysis and presentation, and then decision processes for the needs of controls. In this sense, the paper is undertaken very important device exploitation parameters sensing issue which is a part of transport telematics problems. The practical aspect of operation of the discussed measuring system was tested with a positive results on a physical model of a laboratory bridge crane with a lifting capacity of 150 kg.
