Quality Monitoring of Products for the Production Plant of a Snack Company

Abstract

The quality control of processed products is a constant and fundamental practice in any company. In the food industry this control focuses on the final result of the product being handled. Once this has gone through the different stages that are required for its elaboration, measurements are usually made to evaluate the final properties and verify that the required standards are met to be distributed. There are many parameters that are evaluated, some related to the appearance of the Product and others related to texture and taste. The work that will be done will be directed to present a proposal to improve the efficiency in the quality control of products of a food company, in which different types of snacks are processed, packaged and distributed. Automate for evaluate parameters of weight of the packaged product, volume of air inside the packages and verification of the taste. These evaluations are currently carried out manually by the company’s employees, which requires time and is prone to frequent errors, to automate these processes, facilitate the growth and development of the company and guarantee better results for the products being handled.
