Abstract
The following table summarizes the rates and proportions calculated from the participant-level data. Recall that incidence is defined as the number of new cases of disease that occur among people who do not have that disease at the beginning of a study. Consequently, the follow-up time column is calculated by adding the individual follow-up times among only people without diabetes at the start of the study.
