Abstract

The article presents results of the analysis of the use of system resources for data security via client-side encryption. The research was focused on efficiency of the usage of system resources by open-source tools that are used for client-side data encryption before saving them to cloud environment. Based on the acquired results the proper client-side encryption tool can be selected depending on type and size of encrypted data.
