Abstract

The thoracic chapter provides an overview of the most important neoplastic conditions that may affect the lung, pleura, and mediastinum. Although it is impossible to be too inclusive of every condition that may affect the thorax, we have attempted to provide a balanced overview of different neoplastic conditions avoiding redundancy. In some areas where significant changes have taken place, a more detailed discussion has been provided. Even though, in some areas, we have expressed our personal opinion, we have tried to maintain a balance in the discussion.
