Application of Wearable Device to Develop Visual Load Intelligence Monitoring and Evaluation Technology

Abstract

The visual load investigated in this study is the load imposed on the eyes when working on visual tasks such as computers, mobile phones, or tablets. Based on the gradual maturity of wearable technology, this study applies wearable technology as a device for continuous monitoring of visual loads over a long period of time. The main purpose of this study is to develop automated assessment techniques for visual loads. The developed technology in this study can calculate the watching screen time and rest time of the labor. The proposed technology can be used to automatically monitor the visual load of workers throughout the day to prevent the occurrence of cumulative occupational diseases.
