Abstract
The accelerated urbanization is a global problem and smart cities are at the center of the debate on sustainability and urban development around the world. Transforming current cities into smart cities is a great challenge, since it requires, among other things, transcendental changes in public administration and in the social conscience of citizens. We propose a scale solution in which we apply the concept of Smart city to a smart block. This article presents the conception of the Smart Block EAN project and the development of its ten phases. Finally, we show the progress of the ten projects that make up the Smart Block EAN project and provide conclusions.
