Abstract

The radio frequency (RF) energy harvesting system has become an interesting research area for the utilization of nowadays abundant RF energy. The energy harvesting unit i.e. the rectenna includes an antenna to collect the electromagnetic energy and rectifier to convert this energy to DC power. The multiband rectenna is preferred due to its ability to receive power in different frequency ranges which also increases the efficiency of the rectenna. In this paper, the performance different multiband rectennas are compared in terms of the rectenna efficiency, bandwidth of operation etc.
