Abstract
Although wearable vibration devices have recently been developed for experiencing the effect of low frequency while listening to music, few studies have actually evaluated the physical sensitivity. It remains unclarified what kind of music enhances such sensibilities as the excitement or the interest felt by users. We focused on two musical genres that have a large bass sound pressure. By comparing the waveforms of the bass components of rock and electronic dance music, we identified the differences in the change of the maximum sound pressure of the bass component in each music genre and experimentally evaluated the effect of two types of music whose bass components have different maximum sound pressures when participants listened to music with vibrations and identified their affective differences.
