Abstract
This chapter discusses a number of stereotypical stakeholder behaviors that Enterprise Modeling (EM) practitioners may encounter in an EM project. They can be observed in modeling sessions as well as in the project as a whole. During modeling sessions, the following stereotypes of stakeholder behavior have been observed: the seller, the buyer, the questioner, the observer, the boss, the one who always knows best, the border patrol, the comedian, the missionary, the expert, and the representative. On the EM project level, the following types of behavior can be observed: the engaged owner, the client, the pragmatic questioner, the contractor, the demanding boss, the one who has done it all, and the business-as-usual manager.
