Abstract
This interview discusses Ade Solanke’s career as a playwright and founder of Spora Stories, with focus on the genesis and reception of Pandora’s Box, the challenge of conveying issues specific to the Nigerian diaspora on the London stage, the presence of African theatre in off-West End venues, and the history, productions, and workshop of Spora Stories. The playwright’s experience of theatres outside London and her views of the contemporary African scene in the UK are also explored.
