Abstract

The United States is in a cycle of war in Iraq that it cannot seem to escape. Contemporary warfare has infiltrated our narratives to such an extent that it holds performance hostage—the medium will continue to be deployed for violent ends through military and political practices, and the art form struggles to break free from this cycle.
