Abstract

This chapter begins by presenting the main contributions that this book makes to higher education teaching and learning. It accounts for the notion that no book is ever perfect or manages to convey every aspect of a subject. Consequently, it presents some of the shortcomings, blind spots and gaps in the research presented in this book. With an acknowledgement that there is always more to learn and integrate in the higher education practice and for personal development perspective, the last part of this book looks at further opportunities for research, practice and personal development in this developing field. Taking these aspects into account can have a positive impact on provision, reducing withdrawal and improving the university’s culture, staff’s morale, the student experience, progression and success. This in turn will help us to enrich our society and make the world a better place.
