Abstract

The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the existing tools and methods used to measure the effectiveness of language education in language centres (LCs). LCs present various approaches to both curriculum design and management systems. If a closer link is to be sought between the teaching methods, the institutional management and the effectiveness of the education process, a proper classification and evaluation of the verification methods used in quality language teaching is needed. The analysis is based on literature review and includes methods employed for the assessment of language ability.

This study is a part of an ongoing project that is aimed at finding correlations between the teaching and the management methods and efficiency.
