New Principles of Visual Attention and Association Influenced Mobile Devices

Abstract

The popularity of mobile devices reshaped the livings and behaviours of a human. It also influences the change of visual attention and interaction design. These changes are not only related to the presentation of the graphic design but also affected the communication, design experience, and users’ association. There is a need to investigate how the application of visual elements is changed. In this study, there are some case studies on how the visual elements applied in mobile devices were conducted. The relationships of their aesthetic presentation stimulated association, and motivated interactions were investigated. Hence, some principles of visual attention and association influenced by the mobile devices were found. It is expected the result would help us to clarify how communication design would be integrated with technology by never hanging over the human nature.
