Abstract

Joining a professional organization means respecting its numerous obligations. The military is not different from any other organization in this regard. Its members are bound to obey certain rules and also have the obligation to disobey specific orders. This chapter examines the extent of soldiers’ duties, the extent and limits of their obedience, as well as how their liability can legally be established when they perform unlawful actions.
