Abstract

The pharmaceutical care philosophy and framework fit in perfectly with the needs of patients with asthma and COPD . Ample evidence exists to demonstrate the positive impact that pharmacists have had in these patients when conducting interventions in inhaler technique, reviewing medication, and managing drug-related problems (DRPs). Pharmacists taking the lead in coordinating the patients ’ medication matters will contribute to overcoming issues arising from fragmented healthcare systems. Caring for patients by personalizing interventions is the key to achieving optimal outcomes .
