Abstract
Di Ponio’s conclusion sums up her reading of Artaud’s Theatre of Cruelty, reminding readers of the dual-nature of cruelty in Artaud’s theatre and of both the early modern influence on Artaud’s theatre and of his influence upon modern practitioners.
