Abstract
In this chapter, we first summarise the book that introduces how to efficiently manage RFID tags in large-scale systems in terms of FSA stability, tag counting, and missing tag detection. We then discuss a number of open questions and outline several potential directions for future work ranging from energy-efficient design, security and privacy, to practical implementation.
