Abstract
This chapter describes the characteristics of Islamic equities and the financial instruments , which are used in the Islamic equity markets, by looking at modern-day business corporations and discussing how businesses can be structured according to the Shari’ah principles . In general, Islamic equity products must be structured according to the Shari’ah whereby the features of the products must follow the rules of specific underlying contract of the products.
