Shari’ah Compliant Equity

This chapter describes the characteristics of Islamic equities and the financial instruments, which are used in the Islamic equity markets, by looking at modern-day business corporations and discussing how businesses can be structured according to the Shari’ah principles. In general, Islamic equity products must be structured according to the Shari’ah whereby the features of the products must follow the rules of specific underlying contract of the products.
