Abstract

The authors studied the documents, within the framework of which the interaction of the CIS member countries in the energy sphere is currently being implemented. Due to the prevailing economic ties in the energy sector, the legal harmonization, unification and coordination of the legislations of the CIS member states are necessary measures not only in the sense of building a common legal space for the Commonwealth countries, but also for the purpose of convergence with the norms of international law. The problem of choosing the law applicable to the contract between subjects of trade turnover of different CIS countries is considered.
