Abstract
The contents of the fourth industrial revolution, which is called “Industry 4.0” are studied. It opens new possibilities of doing business and authomatization of any processes. The purpose of the article is to determine perspectives and drawbacks of implementation of “industry 4.0” in the Russian economy, which is currently under sanctions. According to the authors, implementation of “industry 4.0” into production allows increasing the quality of manufactured goods and services, satisfying the needs of customers, using natural and technical resources more rationally, conducting secondary processing of all waster, and receiving new goods, resources, or energy.
