Abstract
The evolution of societies and technology has transformed our medium of exchange from shells to metal to plastic, and now to cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies have grown by nearly 40 times in the last two years, reaching a capitalization of $675 billion and causing both national and international impact in financial markets. Their faster, less costly, less regulated, and infinitely less fraud-prone management is causing their underlying blockchain algorithms to transform financial markets and potentially banking and financial regulations worldwide.
