Abstract

This chapter highlights the accomplishments and historical significance of children in the civil rights movement. The Children’s Crusade in Birmingham was a pivotal event in the civil rights movement, which was planned and executed by young people. The chapter also offers a critical analysis of the role young people had in contributing to their growth and development, especially as it relates to the civil rights movement in America.
