Abstract
In 1883, operations are started up at the factory of the new firm ‘Grossmann and Rauschenbach’. It is located on the outer Waitznerstraße (Váci út) near the Lehel Market. Rauschenbach delivers factory equipment and first examples of hand and horse-powered threshing machines, which are henceforth to be produced in Hungary. The foundry functions quite well from the outset, although the new building costs four times as much as originally projected. Rauschenbach provides a foundry master and a foreman, whilst Grossmann is responsible for setting up production of the remaining agricultural machines, which he had previously only sold.
