Abstract
This closing chapter recaptures the renaissance of meaning to be observed in global business and work. Von Devivere summarizes the understanding of meaningful work, extending across the ancient philosophic foundations to the current diverse activities in varied organizations, management, leadership, and individual persons. Von Devivere aggregates the commonalities of these various novel activities and links these approaches to the fundamental aspects of Frankl’s legacy for the twenty-first century: While the natural will to meaning is at the heart of the human experience and well-being, finding meaning in work is also a matter of translating the countless creative, experiential, and attitudinal situational meanings into concrete action, as demonstrated by all those, presented in this book, who have globally initiated the Copernican turn and ignited a new paradigm for meaningful work.
