Abstract

In this chapter, von Devivere elicits prominent activities of addressing human’s best, of becoming what man is capable of becoming, which Frankl has described as the spiritual, noetic core of man’s search for meaning. Namely, the concepts of appreciative inquiry and good business are drawing on the creative and experiential potentials of organizations and individuals, described by Frankl as two of the three main roads of finding meaning in work and life. Von Devivere elicits ways of taking an attitude to modern working life’s technological risks by unchaining the brain chains and thereby inspiring the dynamics of changing working environments. Applying a broad perspective, the author acknowledges the various meaning-oriented concepts in positive psychology and novel approaches, their similarities and differences for the road to finding meaning in work.
