Abstract
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of death in men and women in much of the developed world. However, advances in treatment of risk factors and prevention of disease have resulted in substantial declines in mortality. This chapter focuses on the primary and secondary CVD risk reduction strategies.
