Abstract
The skin is the only organ of the body that is exposed to external environment, topical preparations are therefore the first choice of treatment, systemic treatment is required when the lesions are extensive, not responding to topical medication, or when hard keratin is affected such as the hair and nails. The skin is also a mirror to see the therapeutic response of medication.
