Pharmacological Treatment of Hyperhidrosis

Abstract

Non-surgical treatment of hyperhidrosis currently includes topical drugs, oral medications, iontophoresis, and botulinum toxin. Anticholinergics are currently the first therapeutic line for these patients, allowing the treatment of generalized forms, revolutionizing the treatment of these patients, and indicating surgical treatment only in refractory cases, and thus reducing the number of cases of compensatory hyperhidrosis.
