Abstract

North China coalfield refers to a set of tectonically modified Permo-Carboniferous marine-terrigenous coal-bearing formations unconformably overlying the thick Middle Ordovician or Cambrian carbonate rocks. North China coalfield is characterized by frequent mine water bursting from the underlying aquifer and high water yield, which poses threat to coal mine safety production and often results in mine flooding disasters. This chapter summarizes some research achievements in the water inrush mechanism, water inrush prediction, and water hazard prevention and control technology. Finally, the main content and general structure scheme of this theses are also presented.
