Abstract
Despite the recent rise in integrated behavioral health programming nationwide, there continues to be a shortage of training opportunities aimed specifically at the clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities for practice as a behavioral health provider in primary care. As clinics explore opportunities to ensure their employees are adequately trained, they are encouraged to consider their specific needs and how these align with existing educational opportunities or whether developing in-house training is necessary. This chapter outlines the pros and cons of each of these approaches as well as identifies key questions administrators are encouraged to consider when identifying appropriate training opportunities.
