Abstract
More patients prefer surgeries with smaller incisions, decreased pain, and quicker return to their daily activities. With an increase in laparoscopy, as well as robotic surgery, there are now specialized fellowships focused on training residents in this field. The number of applicants in this specialty has also increased. The goal of this chapter is to help you determine whether this fellowship is the right decision for your future endeavors and then the appropriate steps to take to accomplish this goal.
