Abstract

This study explores the perceptions of elementary teachers in defining and identifying gifted students in order to understand how Lebanese teachers currently view giftedness and to devise a single consolidated definition. The purpose of this chapter is fourfold: to discuss the results obtained, to draw conclusions grounded in the participants’ perspectives and connect them to the literature, to suggest a proposal for a policy that could be adopted with what we were able to learn from this study, and to provide implications for future research and practice.
