Small Bioreactors for Management of Biodegradable Waste

Abstract

In this chapter, the parameters for designing the small bioreactors are presented, and the selection and use of the small bioreactors for obtaining biogas for small farms and food industry enterprises is described. Their payback period, the methods of its calculations and cost-benefit analysis, and the assessment of cost and benefits of biodegradable waste processing equipment are presented. The factors, largely determining the economic indices of projects and electrical energy production and technical conditions of the selected bioreactor modules’ installation are discussed.
