The Moderating Influence of Socially-Inspired Trust on the Connection Between Persuasive Governmental Social Media Quality and Success

Abstract

The connection between governmental social media quality and success needs more verification. While some empirical studies back this direct link, some other studies failed to back this direct connection between the two variables. This research-in-progress investigation tries to analyze the moderating role of socially-inspired trust in the relationship between citizens’ perceptions of social media persuasive quality and their perceived success of the same. The statistical analyses of responses collected via a field survey provided partial support for the importance of socially-inspired trust for social media success.
