Abstract

Immunofluorescence (IF) assay is largely used in clinical immunology laboratories, especially in autoimmune cases because it is a method that provides histological demonstration of antibodies and antigens related to the pathogenesis of the disease. This chapter covers the principles of the different IF test types, in addition to their reagents, steps, and results interpretation.
