Abstract

The short coherence length (\(\xi _0\sim 1\) nm) of Cooper pairs in cuprate high-\(\mathrm {T}_\mathrm {C}\) superconductors allows for a variety of fascinating phenomena in contrast to low-\(\mathrm {T}_\mathrm {C}\) materials, which have homogeneous SC properties on length scales of the order of several hundreds or thousands of nanometers [1].
