Abstract
This is the last but likely most important systematic examination algorithm of this book. A scheme is suggested for the structured “head-to-toe” examination of the ICU patient during daily ward rounds developed to screen the most relevant “hotspots” of the patient. Based on each patient’s individual findings, the algorithm can be expanded by single examination steps or another systematic examination scheme (Table 20.1).
