Abstract

All reagents and solvents were purchased from commercial sources (Sigma-Aldrich, Alfa Aesar, Acros Organics or TCI) and used as received, unless otherwise stated. 2,7-Bis(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-9,9-dioctylfluorene (Chapter 3) was synthesized by M. Kirkus according to literature procedures.
