Abstract
Home ownership is one of the most important goals an individual should seek to achieve in his or her lifetime. This gives an individual a sense of independence and security and marks an important phase in adulthood. When deciding to buy a property, a number of assessments must be conducted. This chapter provides information on the various qualifications necessary when applying for the purchase of a property, mortgaging a property, as well as purchasing land. The different parties present in these arrangements are also explained along with the fees and documents that are required to conduct these transactions.
