Abstract

This chapter introduces attitudes and how it affects an individual’s view on money. Qualities of healthy and unhealthy money scripts are explored and the notion of money vigilance is introduced. In an attempt to create a more positive and healthy money script, the author looks at two main issues in this chapter, namely, the importance and golden rules ofgoal setting as well as budgets, their importance, and the steps necessary in creating such a plan.

A Budget is used for planning and control—it is a commitment to an agreed outcome.
