Abstract
This book on work discipline does not have a uniform character; it is neither an academic analysis nor a how-to manual. On the one hand, it shows the current state of knowledge of work discipline, and on the other hand, its objective has been to present various practical possibilities of shaping and maintaining discipline. Also, it has been impossible to omit a short description of various types of unethical behaviour. The problem lies in that such behaviour requires specialist knowledge and, consequently, more detailed content. What this book presents is just a sketch, a small segment of research issues or problems with which both managers and employees have to cope today. Chapter 4 “Discipline and the Selected Manifestations of Employee Behaviour” does not contain a complete review of the literature on the subject.
