Abstract
This chapter is entitled “Discipline and the Selected Manifestations of Employee Behaviour”. It discusses psycho-social and organisational causes of counterproductive behaviour, as well as the selected manifestations of unethical and criminal behaviour such as sabotage, theft, financial fraud and corruption. The author also describes types of behaviour harmful to employees, for example, mobbing, stalking, harassment and blackmail. Every sub-chapter contains information concerning manifestations of various types of unethical and criminal behaviour, as well as methods of preventing such behaviour. The author indicates the limitations of various forms of preventing unethical behaviour and problems with their identification. The chapter ends with conclusions concerning possible further research.

Notes
- 1.
During quality audits conducted in the years 2009–2013, the author used to check the status of the process approach in the Polish local government administration. Among 20 audited offices, only one had integrated the processes functioning within the scope of managerial control with the processes of the quality management system.
- 2.
For example, after the fall of Enron more attention was paid to corporate governance, which cannot be based on formal and normative solutions only as it depends on the adoption of voluntary standards.
- 3.
Some research proves that positions held by employees within a power structure influence their behaviour (e.g. Deluna 2016: 17–17).
- 4.
Almost 30% of the 700 largest British companies did not pay taxes in the years 2006–2007.
In 2012 it turned out that Starbucks had not paid taxes in the United Kingdom for three years. Tesco, an icon of British commerce, developed a special offshore structure of tax havens in order to avoid paying taxes.
- 5.
According to K. Durniat (2014), Poland is the fourth European country (after Sweden, France and Belgium) to implement legal regulations concerning the protection of employees against mobbing.
