Abstract
In general, breathing represents the process of gas exchange of organisms with their environment. In the human body, air is conducted via the upper, bigger airways to the smallest airways, the alveoli, where gas exchange takes place. During the passage of the upper respiratory tract, air is cleaned, warmed and saturated with water vapour before entering the alveoli.
