    Falcon 9 is a two-stage rocket powered by a liquid oxygen/kerosene engine. It has only one stage of separation, one engine per stage, each equipped with only a single fuel injector. It is a small rocket, designed for the launch of small satellites. It has once lifted 635 kg (1400 lbs).

    Orbital ATK and NASA developed a new space transportation system to provide commercial cargo resupply mission to the ISS. Under the COTS, the Company developed Antares (medium class launch vehicle) and the Cygnus (advanced manoeuvring spacecraft). The first successful mission was accomplished in September 2013.
