Abstract
Several natural compounds have shown in clinical trials to exert some positive effects on central nervous system. This chapter will resume indication, active dosages, and safety information about Bacoba, Cacao, Chamomille, Curcumin, Escholtzia, Griffonia, Hawthorn, Magnolia, St. John’s wort, Hop, Lavender, Phellodendron, L-arginine and L-lysine, L-theanine, L-tryptophan, Magnesium, Melatonin, Melissa and Passionflower, Ω-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (EPA/DHA), Rhodiola, S-adenosyl-methionine (SAMe), Saffron, Valerian, Vitamin B1, C, D and Zink.
